Flamingo Las Vegas
Las Vegas, Nevada
November 9-12, 2009

During the next 20 years, the U.S. population over the age of 65 is expected to double to more than 71 million. As this population ages, updating your knowledge on care of the elderly is essential to your practice.

This course provides an update in geriatric medicine and presents strategies for practice-based learning and improvement of care for the elderly. Topics include common infections, pharmacology, ethical issues, diabetes, depression in the elderly and more.

The Geriatric Medicine Course helps prepare physicians in taking the examination to earn a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatrics.

This course may also assist individuals who are preparing to sit for the Geriatric module of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) certification/recertification exam.
