As the American population ages, updating your knowledge in care of the elderly is essential to your practice. This course provides an update in geriatric medicine and presents strategies for practice-based learning and improvement of care for the elderly. Topics include common infections, pharmacology, ethical issues, diabetes, depression in the elderly and more.
The Geriatric Medicine Course helps prepare physicians in taking the examination to earn a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatrics.
This course may also assist individuals who are preparing to sit for the Geriatric module of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) certification/recertification exam.
Course fees also include free registration for the Geriatrics: Improving Patient Care module of the METRIC program. During the course, you will review assessment data and METRIC program resources that facilitate improvements in care of your geriatric patients.
