Position located in Washington D.C.

Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Approximately 25 days annually

The purpose of this position is to be the AAFP person who tracks and participates as appropriate in PCMH pilots; serves as contact to and collaborates on PCMH activities with external stakeholders (e.g. employers, health plans, CMS, other physician organizations); coordinates these activities with other AAFP divisions, TransforMED and constituent chapters as appropriate, AND serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the PCPCC on a half-time basis, on detail to the PCPCC from the AAFP as in kind support.

Other duties as assigned.

This position requires a Master’s degree in an academic field directly related to this position, plus at least four years of related experience. Knowledge of the health care field such as physician payment models and physician office practice (administration, technology, e.g., EHR’s and other practice-based tools). Practice-base experience highly desirable; demonstrated high level project management including budget preparation required. Strong interpersonal communication and public speaking skills adequate for periodic AAFP member training and representing the AAFP at multi-stakeholder meetings.
